Author Guidelines

IEB (Islamic Economic & Business) Journal

The journal invites scholars and experts working in disciplines of Islamic Economics and Business. Articles should be original, research-based, unpublished and not under review for possible publication in other journals. All submitted papers are subject to review of the editorial board and blind reviewers. Submissions that violate our guidelines on formatting or length will be rejected without review.

Articles should be written in English. The total words count should not exceed 8,000 words including text, all tables and figures, notes, references, and appendices intended for publication. All submission must include, at least 200 words abstract and 5 keywords. Quotations, passages and words in local or foreign languages should be translated into English. IEB (Islamic Economic & Business) Journal accepts only electronic submissions. Therefore, authors must log in before submit their article. Please click here to log in.

In matter of footnote and bibliographical style, IEB (Islamic Economic & Business) Journal follows the APA Style 7th Edition, such as below:

In-Text Citations

Citations are used to cite sources within the text. They include the author's last name and the year of publication, and page numbers for direct quotes.

Examples:

  1. Islamic banking has shown significant growth in recent years (Ahmad, 2023).
  2. According to Hassan and Ibrahim (2022), "Sharia compliance is fundamental to Islamic finance" (p. 156).
  3. The principles of Maqasid al-Shariah provide framework for economic analysis (Al-Ghazali, 2021, pp. 78-95).

The reference list is a comprehensive list of all sources cited in the document, placed at the end of the work. Entries are alphabetized by the author's last name and formatted with a hanging indent. General Format for References:
