PENGARUH PERMAINAN PUZZLE TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENGENAL LAMBANG BILANGAN PADA ANAK USIA DINI

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of puzzle game on the early childrens’ ability to recognize number symbols. This study involved 30 students aged 4-5 years at pada group A Kindergarten Aisyiyah Palopo. This study employed a pre-experimental with one-group pretest-posttest design. Test, observation and documentation were used to collect the data. The finding of study indicated that puzzle game had an effect on the students’ recognition of number symbols in kindergarten group A. The significance value (2-tailed) of this study was 0.008 (p <0.05). The results of the initial test and the final test changed significantly. Based on the descriptive statistics of the pre-test and post-test it was proven that the final test was higher. To conclude, puzzle game has an effect on the early childrens’ ability to recognize number symbols because it can improve children's ability to recognize number symbols.
