Abstract

Lifelong learning in the 21st century is a very important skill for every human being in the face of an era of rapidly developing disruption. Rapid changes in information technology are changing and reshaping the structure of society. This fast process of change will eventually give birth to new terms and facts. One of these new terms is the information age or information society. An information society is a society in which information is the basic force and the main source of capital. In an information society, information is not a target in itself, but an instrument, and is the main force that illuminates and directs every aspect of social life. Likewise, information is a lifestyle, a form of thought, and life in an information society. In such a period, the production and use of valid information become important. One of the characteristics of the information society is that individuals are able to learn. It is important to take precautions against the possible outcomes that processes of change in the information society may produce and to prepare individuals and societies for the future in such a way as to compete with change itself.
